Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College (BVM) is a Premier Institution of CVM established in 1948 with the Motto of “Work is Worship”. We are the First Approved Degree Engineering College of the Gujarat State. More than 20000 engineers have been graduated from this college spread across the globe. It is the first Autonomous Institute of Gujarat State.

Charutar VidyaMandal was established in the year 1945 as a charitable trust with a prime objective of rural development through education to bring about the social awakening, social upliftment and enrichment. The uniqueness of Charutar VidyaMandal lies in its ability to use quality education as a powerful means of social transformation. It was a stupendous task forth founders to establish a visionary organization; but the large-heartedness and high sense of philanthropy of this region made this possible.

With the establishment of Charutar Vidya Mandal followed by the establishment of Sardar Patel University, the town was founded by Shri Bhaikaka and Shri Bhikhabhai Saheb of Karamsad with the blessings of the iron-man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The reason of foundation of the University and the town was to spread the Education in the Rural Areas of Gujarat.
