M.Tech. - Structural Engineering

                       The Structural Engineering Department of BVM Engineering College is one of the oldest Specialized Department of Gujarat State. The specialization in M. Tech. - Structural Engineering is the most popular Programme among the students since its beginning. The program offers the analysis and design of small-scale structures to High rise building structures. The department has produced more than 500+ postgraduates since the day of the inception of the specialized program. The department has a government-approved laboratory and provides services in consultancy and testing. The program also offers hands-on training of various computational tools like STAAD.pro, ETABS, SAP, and ANSYS to explore the subject in-depth. During the last 5 years, more than 15 students of Dept. are able to clear Various Government Examinations like PWD, IrrigationGEB, and GPCB class I, and II officers. During academic years 2015-16 to2018-19, all Seats of the program were filled up by GATE-qualified Students only. Experts from leading industries and educational institutes are invited frequently for guest lectures on recent developments for the benefit of students and staff.

M.Tech. – Infrastructure Engineering & Technology

Keeping in mind the infrastructure requirements for improved quality of life in a growing society as well as for industry and economic development, the need of the hour is to focus on Infrastructure Engineering with an interdisciplinary approach. In order to satisfy the current societal needs and growing industry demands, the M.Tech in Infrastructure Engineering & Technology program under the aegis of the Department of Structural Engineering at BVM Engineering College, Vallabh Vidyanagar intends to be at the forefront of imparting engineering education by amalgamating traditional Engineering with modern Infrastructure Engineering. the Government of India is emphasizing on up-gradation of infrastructure by focusing on the development of Smart Cities, AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation),NHDP, SethuBharatam etc. The M.Tech. The program bridges the gap between theoretical concepts and its ground-level implementation for efficient utilization ofresources. The department aims to achieve this objective by tailoring courses to directly address the issues and look for technical solutions. The program would also create a platform for major urban bodies to exchange difficulties and innovative solutions developed. The aim of this program would be to enable research and development for address problems faced by rapid urbanization like the development of multi-modal transport networks, water conservation, sewage disposal, waste management, renewable energy, and so on.
